This form is for the <\/span>taxpayers<span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;\"> who state the filing status as \u201csingle\u201d or \u201cmarried filing jointly\u201d with no dependents. This form is similar to the regular form 1040. <\/span>A nonresident alien file<span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;\"> the Form 1040 NR during the past tax year who are engaged in the business in the U.S. The <\/span>taxpayer<span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;\"> is expected to file even when there is no income from the business or the income is exempt from the tax under a treaty with the tax payer\u2019s country.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>When you are a nonresident alien, who do not engage business in the United States must also use this form. It is designed for the <\/span>taxpayers<span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;\"> who are non-resident aliens. There are certain requirements when a <\/span>taxpayer needs<span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;\"> to use this form in order to report the annual income taxes.
